Okay, first off, my apologies for giving you the distinct feeling you've been here before. let me explain. I put together a list of Anglo Saxons for use in our upcoming games of Blood Eagle. I posted it on my blog and in G+ and the Blood Eagle Group over on Facebook. I was interested in the thoughts of fellow gamers. The response was wonderfully helpful, as it made me realise how slow my army was. I therefore took on board all the advice, and came up with my second edition. Which I also posted. It got a lot of likes and no suggestions to alter what I had done. This was even more satisfying because in a little over 30 years, it's probably the only force I've ever drafted that has been the exact points required.
But there was a problem. Not a big one, but a serious one. It didn't match the figures I owned for the game. In all my excitement to put together a list, I had not tailored everything to the miniatures I had. So as a result my priest for example had no armour, whereas the model I am using from Gripping Beast wears a mail hauberk. And that's before I even mention the great big standard he's holding in his left hand. Honestly, what was I thinking!
Of course, when I added these to the list, I went right over my 300 points limit. So, with a bit of further faffing, I present my (hopefully) finished list. Does it make 300 point exactly? What do you think...!
And now, with this sorted, I can get on with painting my models! Of course, if you see something amiss, please let me know! It's not like I'm averse to making a new list, after all!
